Labelling your quilt.
Don't forget to add a label to record your achievement. This can be attached before or after quilting.
For a simple label:
- Take a piece of plain fabric and handwrite your quilt title, name, and date with a waterproof fine pen or embroidered using a chain or cross stitch.
- Stitch to the backing with a slip stitch or blanket stitch.
Use your computer to produce a label incorporating a desgin, text or photo and print onto paper-backed fabric using an inkjet printer.
- Try out bonding your label with a fusible such as bondaweb to the backing fabric before quilting.
