Machine Applique
This method of attaching shapes is usually combined with using a fusible which is ironed onto the reverse side of your fabric before cutting out the shape and does not have a seam allowance. The shape is then ironed onto the background fabric before stitching. The machine stitches cover the raw edge. The common stitches used are zigzag, satin stitch or blanket stitch.
